Back to Lion Community

Kickin' Off The School Year

And we are off!  Thank you to Rob Hart and Delilah Jenkins for planning our Back to School picnic and providing us with a fun-filled community event!  The pizza was delicious, chalk art inspired, and Lincoln the Lion was a hit.

Also in September: Teacher appreciation chairs Angela Montagna-Holmes and Lindsay Bremer dropped some goodies in the teachers’ lounge to start the year and are busy planning the teacher appreciation luncheon held during conferences.

Katie Bernhard tackled the overgrown courtyard around the pond, removing a summer’s worth of weeds. Katie is working to make the space more functional for students and teachers.

Jennifer Gnolfo and a team of volunteers kicked off the Let Me Run program with nearly thirty 4th and 5th grade boys who are training for a 5k.

And, the PTO held our first meeting of the year, hearing from Principal Gordon about the School Improvement Plan and writing thank you notes to staff.

We added $100 gift cards to the fifty-six notes and delivered them to staff members tp use on classroom/materials expenses. October promises to be just as busy!

Thanks to everyone making good things happen!
