Lincoln's PTO is about working together to create a better educational experience for all of our children. We want to create an atmosphere where teachers and administrators can do their best work — for the benefit of our kids.

PTO Room Coordinator

This program is designed to foster a strong sense of community and connection within Lincoln and the PTO. To make this happen, we are going to need some help. Can you volunteer to be a PTO Room Coordinator?

What the PTO Room Coordinator(s) does:

  • BE a community builder. Our goal is to create a sense of community in each classroom (this may mean arranging park meetups, asking parents/guardians if they need PTO support or welcoming new families). We want every family to feel like they belong and are in the know.

  • BE a liaison to the PTO.  The Room Coordinator will share important information with the class community, including PTO events and fundraisers and help recruit volunteers as needed.

  • BE a support to the classroom teacher.  This will look different in each classroom depending on the teacher's needs but will include coordinating appreciation gifts for the class, snacks and celebrations as requested by the teacher.

The Room Coordinator will have the support of the Room Coordinator chair who will answer questions as well as provide resources like a calendar overview of the year, template emails, and parent contact information. This should be a commitment that is an hour or two monthly mostly over email. Please see our Room Coordinator Guide to learn more information!
