PTO Communication

When PTO is hosting an event or communicating to the community, proper communication is critical.  We want to make sure we are thoughtful and impactful in our communications.  Below is a recommendation of various communication channels based on the type of event you may be hosting.

Newsletter, Social Media & Website

The PTO's monthly newsletter is sent out once a month via print and electronically. We send out to the community that covers information, volunteer needs, and community updates. The newsletter is sent the first week of the new month between September-May. Content in the newsletter is also added to the website and social media.

Process

  1. Goal should be to begin your campaign 6 weeks prior to the event or activity.

  2. Create your verbiage with the goal to be concise, yet informational.  Gather your images and review the PTO branding guide here to ensure colors, images are consistent.

  3. Create your flyer and/or graphic via Canva. Vist shared drive for login details.

  4. The deadline for submission is on the last Wednesday of the month and must be submitted through our Google Form

  5. If you are not able to submit your event within the newsletter deadline, view our Event Packet for the seven other channel to promote your event.

Post Event/Activity

  1. Tell us how amazing it went so we can share it with others via this Google Form

Any questions or concerns about using the above channels, please email communications@lincolnpto.org at any time for support!
