Explore the world—one language at a time! Give your student the chance to learn, play, and connect through Lincoln PTO’s World Language Program! Students can choose from Spanish, Italian, French, or Chinese and enjoy engaging, age-appropriate lessons designed to make language learning fun and memorable.
Classes take place one day a week during the lunch and recess hour. Spanish, Italian, and French are offered as 20-session program, while Chinese is offered as a 10-session winter program. Classes begin October 19, and registration is open now through October 11!

School Gave Your Child an iPad. Now What? – A Workshop for Parents, by Parents
Wednesday, 10/14, 6-8pm, Whittier Elementary (715 N Harvey Ave)
Parents shouldn't have to figure this out alone.
Join fellow parents for a hands-on workshop focused on kids and school devices. We'll talk about why screen use in and out of the classroom matters, then get practical: how to lock down the iPad, manage settings, limit distractions, and set boundaries that work for your family.
We'll also share where Screen Sense Oak Park stands in our conversations on tech usage in school with D97, and how you can help shape what comes next.
Bring your child's iPad, your questions, and your experience. Parents belong at the table on this.
Food and childcare will be provided. Register here so we can get an accurate headcount. We hope you'll join us!

Volunteers needed for on-site supervisors!
Responsibilities include supervising students for the 10 min between the bell and class start time, taking attendance, being the day-of point of contact for instructors & families, and overseeing dismissal of students.
Volunteers who can commit to 1 day a week for the full session (8 or 9 weeks) will receive free enrollment for one child in their class of choice.
All volunteers must have a current D97 background check.
