By Discovery’s Summer Adventures Camp is inspired by artists both past and present; the natural world; and our own experiences, interests and dreams. Through painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture, children will develop their skills and imagination to produce innovative works of art. By Discovery is facilitated by Jocelyne Adkins, Program Director & Co-Lead Educator; Stacey Grieff, Co-Lead Educator; and our talented Teaching Artists.

Jocelyne earned her Masters Degree in Art Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has enjoyed teaching for 20 years. She founded By Discovery (formerly Beye Discovery) in 2011 and is inspired daily by her students’ imagination, creativity and enthusiasm! Stacey has a background in the Arts and Early Childhood Education. Her portrait photography career spanned 15 years and revealed her desire to work with youth in more impactful ways. She earned her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from The Erikson Institute, where she gained a deep knowledge of child development and research based instructional practices. Our Teaching Artists hold BFA and BA degrees in art or design and have a passion for working with youth.  You can learn more about our dedicated Team at
