It's time for Lincoln’s annual Read-a-thon fundraiser. Our Read-a-thon is a program that brings students together with family and friends to encourage reading and to build literacy skills all while raising money for Lincoln School!

The main focus of the Read-a-thon is for everyone to know we are committed to improving reading skills. To that end, the Read-a-thon promises to be a fun, exciting journey for all participants as they begin a personal Reading Adventure that challenges each reader to complete 10 reading sessions over our 2-week event.

Our Read-a-thon will start on October 11 and run through October 24.

Kickin' Off The School Year

And we are off!  Thank you to Rob Hart and Delilah Jenkins for planning our Back to School picnic and providing us with a fun-filled community event!  The pizza was delicious, chalk art inspired, and Lincoln the Lion was a hit.

Also in September: Teacher appreciation chairs Angela Montagna-Holmes and Lindsay Bremer dropped some goodies in the teachers’ lounge to start the year and are busy planning the teacher appreciation luncheon held during conferences.

Katie Bernhard tackled the overgrown courtyard around the pond, removing a summer’s worth of weeds. Katie is working to make the space more functional for students and teachers.

Jennifer Gnolfo and a team of volunteers kicked off the Let Me Run program with nearly thirty 4th and 5th grade boys who are training for a 5k.

And, the PTO held our first meeting of the year, hearing from Principal Gordon about the School Improvement Plan and writing thank you notes to staff.  We added $100 gift cards to the fifty-six notes and delivered them to staff members tp use on classroom/materials expenses. October promises to be just as busy!  Thanks to everyone making good things happen!

We kicked off the school year thanking our teachers for everything that they do!

During last months PTO meeting, we wrote 56 hand written thank you cards and included $100 gift cards for teacher's to use in their classroom.

We've been stopped at the playground and have been receiving emails of how appreciative the teacher's are for our support.

The annual kindergarten meet & greet was a huge success! The new kindergartners met up the weekend before school started at Maple Park. It was a great way for the kiddos to meet new friends age see some familiar faces the first day of school!
